The Heroine’s Journey- The Signs were Sent- represents the traditional stages of the heroine’s journey. The journey begins with “answering the call” and follows the triumphs and challenges faced until our “return” as hopefully new or transformed souls. It is a spiritual journey to self-realization. It began as personal but I came to realize that the stages expressed all of our journeys when we are faced with changes in the set routines of our lives.

The subtitle of the series of dolls The Signs Were Sent refers to the fact that we all receive “signs”, unusual or coincidental incidents in our lives when it is time for a change. It is our choice to see and recognize those signs or to ignore them. Over the past couple of years I have been receiving the signs. This series was my way of recognizing them.
